Fossil Packaging Tin
Project Description
In 2006, the Fossil company had a “Tinspiration” contest to design the graphics for one of their iconic watch tins. The creative brief was outlined around the theme “What’s your vintage?” and contestants were encouraged to create a vintage-inspired design that fit within the aesthetic of the Fossil brand. The top prize for the contest was a limited edition production of the winning tin design (the top four were produced) , $1,000 in credit to spend on Fossil products, and a trip for two to their Dallas, TX headquarters for an award presentation. Out of thousands of entries, my design was chosen as the overall winner.
I took inspiration from the full history of Fossil’s packaging, and incorporated my love of music and the nostalgic imagery of the 45RPM vinyl record.
